Thank you for your interest in the Kids’ Chance of Indiana, Inc. scholarship program. Our organization awards annual educational scholarships to the children of Indiana workers who have been fatally or catastrophically injured as a result of a work-related accident or occupational disease.

You will find information about our scholarship program, as well as an application form. If either of your parents has been killed or catastrophically injured as a result of a work-related accident or an occupational disease, and the financial impact of this unfortunate occurrence may hinder you in your future educational endeavors, we  would encourage you to apply for one of our scholarships.

A Kids’ Chance scholarship is just one of many that may be available to you.  The Federal government provides grants and loans based on need.  The State of Indiana has various grants and scholarships based on need and academic performed. Other sources of financial aid are available, and information on all forms of aid is likely to be available in your high school guidance counselor’s office or your college’s/technical school’s office of Student Financial Aid.

Once you have completed your scholarship application form, please send it along with other required supporting documents to Kids’  Chance.  Please note that all applicants (other than those seeking financial assistance to complete high school) must attach his/her Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Student Aid Report (SAR) forms to his/her Kids’ Chance application.  Your high school guidance counselor’s office or your college’s/trade school’s Office of Financial Aid can assist you in completing this process.  After receiving your completed application and required supporting documentation Kids’ Chance will then verify your eligibility with the Indiana Workers’ Compensation Board and make a determination as to your financial need.  You will be notified of the results of the Kids’ Chance organization’s decision regarding your application as soon as the determination has been made.

If you have any questions or need some assistance with the completion of your application, please feel free to contact the Kids’ Chance Scholarship Application Coordinator, Ms. Kathryn Moll.  She can be reached at her office where her phone number is (317) 485-0043 ext 123 and her fax number is (317) 485-4299.
